Wool Felt Ornaments
Spellbinders released new Nichol Spohr Christmas Felt Stitch and Create Designs a couple of days ago. They are easy to assemble because the stitching holes are cut while die-cutting the shapes. To see the bundle visit Spellbinders here. These were all stitched with embroidery floss.

Full disclosure, I am an affiliate influencer for Spellbinders and was provided the dies and wool to create these projects. I have been a long time customer of Spellbinders, so it was an amazing opportunity for me when they asked me to do some guest blog posts using products that I love. By shopping through these links, it does not cost you anything extra – but it does help to support my ability to share free tutorials and tips.

S7-300 Felt Festive Trees Etched Dies
The trees are a really nice size at 5.5″ tall and 4.25″ wide. There are two different pierced tree dies in the set. One is a crosshatch pattern which opens up many exciting stitching options. The lovely snowflake pattern is a pretty option that sews up very quickly. Also in the set are three snowflakes and a scallop border. I used the scallop design to make trim for the light blue Glacier tree pictured next to the grey Sterling tree, above. The wool felt is from the Holiday Collection.

Vintage Santa
The Vintage Santa also offers opportunities for creating something unique to you. The Santa can be stitched with the die-cut wool felt embellishments, like the holly and buttons or decorated with beads, sequins, and other sewn or glued on attachments. You can also do decorative embroidery stitches, such as French Knots. Spellbinders is carrying new glittery embellishments that would look beautiful on any of the Christmas felt ornaments. Here is a link to Cartwrights Sequins Clear Iridescent Beads. I sew beads on with one or two strands of embroidery floss and a bead needle. When gluing embellishments to wool felt, I recommend using a wet glue such as Hero Arts Precision Glue or Ranger Dina Wakley Media Glue. These both dry clear. The Ranger glue is matte so there is no extra glossiness.
For additional tips on sewing the Vintage Santa, please check out the blog post on Spellbinders website on October 19, 2026, when my guest post will go live. Thank you!
